Steve Farndon was born in Sutton Coldfield, near Birmingham. He was educated at an all boys school nearby.He now resides in Solihull, England and Southern Spain.This is his first book,, although 2 more are in the pipeline (Escape Inc. Returns and Escape Inc.'s Farewell).

He has two children and two grandchildren.

His main hobbies apart from prisons are motor racing - mainly Karting and Great Danes.

He can be seen at such tracks as Whilton Mill, Rissington and Kimbolton.
